I am writing a book about my dad who raced Indian motorcycles in the 1930s. I know he
raced in Gowanda. I am looking for any leads that can tell me where that track was. Also do you have local newspapers from 1936 to 1940? I have discovered races were covered by the local sports writers. Thank you for any assistance you can provide or advice.
Currently our newspaper collection is with the Gowanda Historical Society. They are your best bet for information on the subject. I am unable to locate any information with the resources I have at this time, I am sorry to say.
The Gowanda Harley Davidson dealer on Gowanda Zoar Road goes back to the 1940′s. They may be able offer some help.
